The Launching Pad, Inc. (LPI) is a licensed sober-living facility
offering a structured, friendly community for recovering men and women.
We specialize in helping people rebuild their lives after drug and
alcohol treatment by providing Sober Living
environments operated on
the 12-step modality of recovery through a recovery oriented system of care.
Individuals who are leaving treatment or incarceration face many
obstacles; among these, loss of a stable home situation is in the
forefront. Recognizing that a stable home environment is essential to
successful recovery LPI provides this to individuals who share the
common goal of recovery. Recovery is a process that doesn’t happen
overnight. Millions of addicts and alcoholics have proven it is not
something that can be accomplished alone. Generally, after treatment or
incarceration communal sober living is advised
The LPI Sober Living Homes are affordable, alcohol, drug, and gambling
free environments that provide a positive place for peer group recovery
support. Sober housing promotes individual recovery by providing an
environment that allows the residents to develop individual recovery
programs and become self-supporting. At LPI, residents are asked for a
minimum commitment of 90 days. Sandy Finelli, Executive Director
Sandy Finelli has spent the past 17 years working in the social service sector in
areas of addiction and homelessness. She has worked
with prison reintegration programs and has managed homeless veteran
programs.
Sandy's most notable
achievements has been in building a strong and open relationship with her
family. She was also recently given the "Making a Difference in the Lives
of Women" award by the Soroptomist Club.
Barbara Pierson, Our Founder
Barbara P is a recovering alcoholic/addict herself and has a passion
for helping others find their way out of active addiction. She is a
firm believer in the 12-step process of recovery. This belief came as a
direct result of taking the 12 steps and experiencing their
transforming power in her life. She constantly stresses the
importance of working a strong program to insure lifelong sobriety and
happiness. It has worked for her and countless other alcoholics/addicts.
Barbara retired from the Launching
Pad on our five-year anniversary - March 15th. We are grateful for her
passion and dedication to our target population.
